 St. John the Baptist, St. Albert's and St. Michael's Parishes


 The rectory at St. Michael's in St. Michael is home to a Companion of Christ fraternity serving three parishes in the northwestern corner of the Archdiocese. The parishes of St. Albert’s, St. Michael’s and St. John the Baptist are located within 10-15 minutes of each other. This area is experiencing some of the most rapid growth in the Archdiocese.

St. John the Baptist is located in the city of Dayton. This parish was established in 1856 by French immigrants. Today, it is the spiritual home for 380 families. Dayton, located between the Crow and Mississippi rivers, was first established as a stopping point for river traffic. Despite growth in the area, this "river town"continues to maintain its small town appearance.  Fr. Peter Richards is the Pastor of the parishes of St. John the Baptist and St. Albert’s.


St. Albert’s is located in Albertville, along I-94, 5 minutes from St. Michael.  The parish was established in 1902. There are currently 500 families, with more being added each month.

St. Michael’s parish in St. Michael. It is a parish of 2,500 families with new members joining every week. St. Michael has been identified as one of the 3 fastest growing cities in Minnesota.  Their new church was dedicated in December of 2004.
